GMO FOOD IN KENYA? WHAT THIS MEANS?

I can contrast GMO foods to COVID-19 Vaccine. There were speculations that the vaccine facilitates the spread of the virus. Common mwananchi had no clear information because of political syndrome that nested the nation. We give politics much attention than we should to scholars and scientists whose research and findings touch our daily lives.

The rapid development  of institutions and technology has seen a surge preference for urban lifestyle especially among the youthful population in Kenya. The thirst for affluence and opulent lifestyle has been insatiable with emergence of local celebrities. The trend has piled pressure on youngsters who are pursuing money and wealth instead of working through the process. Many are into illegal businesses, schemes, betting and crime.

Agriculture has been the top economic force in Kenya. However, efforts to emphasize  youths to venture into it has been very little or not at all. All want white or blue color jobs. As a result, most lands go untapped in rural areas since the elderly can only farm during "planting season."  Due to lack of potential manpower and interest among the youths, subsistence farming has continually thrown this nation into food crisis with skyrocketing prices. There's a need to advocate for change. The narrative of "Ukulima hilipi" must shift.

Thanks for commercialization but Agriculture is the most understaffed economic activity in Kenya. Many have head knowledge and only a few venture in the sector. Productivity has been severely hit. Little food production means high prices. With high prices in place, the jobless population in urban areas become the concern of the government whose efforts to fix food crisis has been a perennial nightmare.

And here comes GMO Food, to supplement the food shortage in our country.

If youths embrace agriculture as it were, then Kenya will feed the entire continent. Think of Egypt, a desert nation yet its leading in wheat production in Africa. Not to mention Israel! Just because there's technology, it's not enough. Man power is key. There's so much untapped potential in Agriculture and in the youthful population is the solution.

IS FAFI CONSTITUENCY MP SALA YAKUB REMARKS MISGUIDED?

The resent remarks by MP Sala Yakub for Fafi Constituency that presidential term limit be removed and age limit set to cub elderly from vying is inconsequential. The remarks comes at time when the country is facing economic uncertainty with biting drought and famine which are being addressed by HE President William Ruto. The narrative is immature and only made to destruct Kenyans from focusing on reviving the sick economy into unnecessary politics of fox and hare.

The MP has not delivered to his constituents in this new regime, yet he's audacious enough to prick that sore path of constitutional change. In my view, Hon Yakub should face party's disciplinary committee and decease from such utterances. The constitutional reforms in this country has been a hot potato second to highly contested elections whose back stopped in Supreme Court for hearing and judgment.

How about media? Media seems to laud these nonsense claims through their platforms especially the print. Why put such utterances on front pages of newspaper? Why not publish economic and climate reforms being undertaken on front pages to give Kenyans hope. We need hope not politics. We need reforms not politics. We need to see trans-formative agenda being discussed, implemented and done to better Kenyans. Media should be keen to give Kenyans hope not retrogressive politics.

CAN FAITH REALLY SAVE IN THIS SEASON OF ADVERSITIES???

CAN FAITH REALLY SAVE IN THIS SEASON OF ADVERSITIES????

We are in times when adversities seem to rage against humanity in full force. Little had the economies of the world emerge from the pangs of COVID-19 than the recessions in global markets struck worsened further by Russian-Ukrainian war.  Life has become unbearable to many save a few with little to enjoy.

Life burden seem to multiple daily and governments are working hard to aid their citizens whereas some governments are deadbeat. Joblessness, massive layoffs and unfavorable business environment that does not allow SMEs to grow efficiently are some of major challenges humanity face.

However, there's hope in God if we only express faith in Him and His promises. It's written the just shall live by faith. In the face of reality, only faith in God can make humanity to be steadfast. Think of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego facing the 7 times hotter fiery furnace; even so they trusted in God Almighty. And God honored their faith in Him by delivering them from the furnace and from the hand of King Nebuchadnezzar. These times need faith in God.

In Kenya, there's so much that is happening; drought and famine, economic uncertainty, unemployment, increase in crime rates; in the face of all this, except we have faith in God in everything, we can't stand. The promises of God are yes and amen. When we set our hearts to God, He will do the impossible. Remember in human history, there were times when strong men fainted. None of their plan succeeded. There strength abated. They failed. But when they called on the name of the LORD they were saved and glorified Him.

Let's not loose our confidence in God. He will surely deliver us from all the troubles. Amen

CHURCH UNDER SIEGE IN KENYA

CHURCH UNDER SIEGE IN KENYA

The wind of politics every five years is the destructive storm that shakes and expose the weakness of the Church in Kenya. We've continually been swayed time and again by the political elites who use the Church as a ladder to power. And we end up shredded among ourselves as believers than non-believers.

Whenever the Church seek to assert influence over anything without the proper communication of the Gospel, that without, haunts us afterwards. As a result our self-made monuments end up degrading and devaluing our sanctity in the society. We can do nothing proper as a church without the Gospel for its the most powerful tool of transformation to any given society if properly communicated.

However, it seems we are not yet nourished by the Gospel because of the  division among us believers. For we know, a house divided against itself can never stand. This means, our communication of the Gospel in this country has been diluted by a sinister force behind the shadows or our best to communicate God's purpose to believers isn't the best yet. Therefore, its easy to use men (politicians who seem to have conformed and embraced the values of the Gospel without genuine transformation) as monuments to assert influence in government. The danger comes when the monsters in these men/women manifests through massive scandals, public looting, immorality etc and the general public points finger to us believers saying "HUYO NI WA KANISA"...That alone brings shame to us, because they have not been transformed by the Gospel but by our soulish association with them.

Our conduct as believers in the just concluded elections this year has divided us exposing the immaturity in us. Who said that every prophecy or revelation we get on any matter especially politics must be posted on social media? Don't we know only in part and prophecy in part? Where is it written that if our preferred candidate wins then we truly hear God? Who told us that, when our preferred candidate fails we should leave fellowship as brethren and get angry towards other brethren and more so  God ? Don't we know that God is sovereign? Raiders have invaded us in the dark shadow of politics, and we are so quick to be divided on their account. The fashion has always been Party A 'church' verses Party B 'church' including our shepherds and we are so vocal about this more vocal than soul winning. When was the last time we corporately won souls as local churches? My fears are, soul winning in certain parts of this country might be an uphill task because of our conduct as believers.

The truth is many of our shepherds have been struck by the rode of politics and we the sheep have scattered. Very few are mindful of the sheep. It might take longer before many are restored because they have built for themselves cisterns that cant hold water, and have forsaken God in pursuit for influence. I pray they recover and be restored for our sake -the sheep.

Did you not know, that posting a photo with anyone on social media identifies you  with the person? Actually it validates your support for the individual. And this is what many witty politicians do with our shepherds. So, in the eye of average believers they are validated and easily gain our support. Think of this, our beloved shepherds...in as much as choosing leaders is a personal choice, your influence over us goes deeper than you think. Whenever you validate any aspirant, many at times we vote for them. But the danger is, have they been transformed by the Gospel? Do you have a testimony of them? Do you even trust them? Or was that brown envelop your motivation to validate them and not the guidance of the Holy Spirit? We the sheep are so much undernourished, we need the Gospel. We need transformation. No wonder, we behave wildly and criticize one another openly on social media, we are no longer tolerant towards each other. We no longer accept rebuke from Fathers of Faith. We are so mindful of ourselves than others....there's a problem with our growth in the Faith.

Unless we go back and disciple believers by communicating the Gospel properly, as the church we will blame ourselves when the society harden their heart towards this great message that saves.

I long for a time when, whether our preferred candidates win or loose in election we will still be united as Church in Kenya with brotherly love and united for a common purpose, soul winning and transforming the society through the Gospel.

Yes its possible.

Thanks for our Fathers and Ministers of the Gospel who have continually been equipping believers through the Gospel by holding conferences, seminars etc bringing believers and shepherds from all ministries together in what is known as APOSTOLIC GATHERING.
