TRANSCENDING POWER OF LIFE PRINCIPLES OVER GENERATIONS

We are living in the dispensation of technology where smart machines have ease work. Much has been modeled to mirror modernity but principles of life remain unchanged. As a result generations have had to battle through life to find meaning. However, the principles of life whose roots are in tradition, culture and religion stands out as a foundation that holds life itself. It doesn't know modernity or old traditions.

Generation X went through the colonial period and faced gruesome challenges including fighting to protect (their) the land and lives from the then invincible colonial masters. These made them endure so much pain which bore patience and hope in their hearts for the day of freedom. They acknowledged the beauty of unity and fought the enemy who had oppressed them. The struggle metamorphosed into ideologies that were later embraced in pace to gain independence. Yet life principles still chanted  its sovereignty. Many valued life as precious and for the sake of freedom they died fighting for what they believed in. They are few still alive today but many have fallen asleep. They acknowledged the value of marriages, families, communities and nation.

Generation Y  came in post-colonial era. These group no-longer battled with spears and arrows but pens and books. They believed in work and indeed worked tirelessly to transform the nation. Its a people who learned to live within their means and build communities with so much reverence to their afflicted, embattled and scourged  elders. These are reliable people who contributed to the development of our nation. They believe in the well-being of the nation, value relationships and embrace unity except for few rotten ones. Generally, they are our today's elderly parents. They acknowledge the value of work and working progressively into prosperity except for the corrupt brutes.

Generation Z stepped in when technology had become widespread. Fortunately it became their greater tool of advancement in life but unfortunately its their invincible enemy with regard to general life principles. The simplification of work by technology has made this group believe life too is easy. However, to their rude shock it's not. Technology simplifies work not life. Growing in the era of technology has hyped expectations and remodeled parenting but the principles of life defies it all. As a result of hyped expectations and lifestyle as opposed to other generations, generation Z has to fight frustration, depression and identity crisis. They no longer learn from the elders rather from internet which largely misinform them in matters life. Modesty has become an old fashion and nudity is their fashion. All manner of wicked cravings lie in their hearts save few who still hold to life principles. Prosperity is their crave but the how to make through into prosperity is their enemy. They apply all manner of wayward schemes to get into prosperity. Yet, the HOW into, is the ignition key of life principles.

Is technology evil? No. Technology has revolutionized our way of living with much greater good. However, principles of life still holds. If one does not commit themselves to learn and work step by step into prosperity they end up being immoral and corrupt. Each generation has had it's fair share of struggles but those struggles shaped some to nobility while others to ignobility depending how they handled them.

Today, much has changed and more change is on the way coming but ignoring life principles only births pain. Failure to quickly unlearn, learn and relearn leads to corruption of mind, and body. That's why today we are losing many young people over ignoble issues than it were with generation X.

2023 MAASAI MARA- WILDBEEST MIGRATION

We are at an epic season when over two million wildebeests and other herbivores like zebras, gazelles among others move in mass number across unforgiving and  croc infested Mara River from Tanzania side, Serengeti to Mara in Kenya.

The migration is triggered by region's rains and the animals follow an age-old route in search of fresh grazing and water. This epic journey takes the wildebeest across the Maasai Mara plains in Kenya, all the way south into Tanzania’s Serengeti and the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater, before circling up and around in a clockwise direction.

It is generally believed that the Great Migration is dictated primarily by the wildebeest’s response to the weather. They move after the rains and the growth of new grass, essentially following a natural instinct to find food to stay alive. Some experts believe that the wildebeest are triggered by distant lightning and thunderstorms, but there is no scientific proof of it.

AFRICA TRAVEL WEEK TREND REPORT 2023 (REVIEW)

It’s estimated that by 2026, Millennials and Gen Z will be responsible for more than 60% of luxury spending across all industries, up from 39% in 2019. 2023 experienced a shift especially on luxury traveler becoming more younger compared to previous years. As a result, the travel and tourism industry are forced to shift their service delivery. These travelers are young (in their late twenties, thirties, and forties), savvy, and craving connection with others, nature, and themselves.

Research shows that this generation would rather spend money on a holiday than invest in real estate. The new luxury traveler spends more money and time in one destination, get more involved in the community, wants less packing and unpacking and prefer to use one base that they can call ‘home’ while exploring the area or heading off on day trips to nearby locations.

The report shows that the multi-generational travel trend docks on one place rather than changing location every day or two. As a result, most families now opt to spend up to five nights at a single lodge.

In other words, they want memorable experiences by meeting people who change their lives, and as they gain new perspectives. Transformational travel and conservation are things they want to be involved in. Thus, the industry needs to open itself up to entirely newer ways of service delivery.

The industry, especially travel suppliers, needs a fresh marketing approach since its marketing to a new traveler. The recommendation according to the report shows that going forward, Instagram will be a key focus for travel brands since most of the younger generation who adds up to prospective travelers use this platform to look for inspiration for trips by scrolling through photos and watching reels.

In addition, all marketing materials for the industry need to reflect the new luxury traveler. The front of the e-brochure should focus on the image of a young family or solo traveler participating in something extraordinary instead of the traditional smiling retired couple.

Finally, adventure tourism is trending. For those seeking a thrill, Africa is the ultimate playground. Whether scaling Mount Kilimanjaro, rafting down the Zambezi River, or bungee jumping off the Victoria Falls Bridge, there’s no shortage of heart-pumping experiences to be had on the continent. And with adventure travel continuing to grow in popularity, Africa is poised to be a top destination for years to come. A colorful look at the trends shaping the travel industry in Africa. From the power of color to the influence of Netflix and the allure of adventure, there’s something for everyone on the world’s most vibrant continent.

DEVASTATION IN KENYA

DEVASTATION IN KENYA

Tuesday, 13th July ,2023,  shouts, war cry and bonfires hit the country with loss of lives and property destruction including iconic Nairobi Expressway- Mlolongo section. The national wide mass protest called by Azimio opposition leader Hon. Raila Odiga caught the attention Kenyans including those who voted for the Kenya Kwanza Government due to what they named as repulsive 2023 Financial Bill.

In the Bill are new taxes with a double fuel levy which has spiked the cost of living above the roof. Most Kenyans now survive on one meal or go hungry all together. Despite the cry by wanjiku, the Kenya Kwanza Government has stamped its authority to force the bill into a law after majority side in the parliament voted for it. These has made the hustler government obnoxious to Kenyans of whom the opposition has taken advantage of for mass action and demonstration.

With such intense rivalry between the Government and Opposition, it's was easier for Kenyans to come out in numbers on streets to protest against the highest cost of living ever recorded since Kenya became a republic. Long distance travel Sacco's parked vehicles at their respective offices across the nation disrupting travels. They too claimed doubled fuel levy will hurt their business. Meanwhile, the tax man, KRA, lost 3B shillings in revenue collection which has a long term effect overly.

The July 13th demonstration was a day's warfare between the civilians and police leading to chaos and death. Each side blames another for hiring goons to sponsor chaos instead of embracing peace. The bonfires allover reminded me of the 2007/8 PEV which left much suffering, deaths and property destructions. When civilians express their dissatisfaction on streets, the country is in danger of falling into anarchic.

However, who bedevils civilians? What makes them think by destroying properties they will be heard? Who benefits and who looses in such draconian violence? Is their no other way to address such issues? Why is the government turning a deaf ear and blind eye to its electorates? Has the government exhausted all means possible to deal with high cost of living menace? What is it that the government is not telling Kenyans and opts to tax people to pain and suffering?

Failure to address these issues and many more by the government has led to boldening of Opposition to ride on vulnerable Kenyans. Angry and hungry nation is a disaster in waiting. If the common man has nothing on the table then the rich must be prepared for sleepless nights also. It's a cycle of economic hyperloop, of one thing leading to the other. With rampant unemployment its hard to believe that life is normal to unemployed graduate youths. Many have fallen into traps of mischief in a bid to cop-up with prevailing hardship.

The government has the obligation to come out clearly and defend it's people or choose between 2023 Financial Bill or Kenyans. The truth is most Kenyans are misinformed on the Bill therefore their actions are justified by the misinformation. On the other hand the Opposition is fast claiming ground nationally spreading propaganda to misinformed Kenyans drinking from their gullibility. As a result more chaos and deaths.

MARRIAGE MATHEMATICS

Since Monday there has been interesting report on different national newspaper which confirms God's original plan for marriage. Today, Daily Nation newspaper posted a research conducted by Kenya National Bureau of Statistics pg 12 which shows that poverty levels are higher in homes where the man is polygamous. The Kenya Continuous House-hold survey noted that polygamy was associated with high levels of poverty nationally.

In addition the chances of males who are poor and uneducated having a polygamous marriage with many kids are higher than those who have proper education. And this is true in most of our villages. Meanwhile the Star Newspaper dating 4/7/2023 published a report by Kenya Demographics and Health Survey 2022 on pg 2 that majority of marriages in Kenya are the come-we-stay type, with majority of married women having no proof of their unions, save for children thus most of them walk out of such marriages with nothing incase of a fallout.

POINT TAKE HOME
1. God respects and blesses unions where a man and a woman agree to settle down with the knowledge of witnesses (especially their parents-Genesis 2:24/Matthew 19:5-6). The scripture in Psalm 133 speaks of collective unity among brethren that attracts God's blessing. This is same even to marriages. And once a third party (man/woman) comes in then that blessing is lifted unless the marriage is saved early. Meaning all sorts of destructions come in including wealth destruction that leads to poverty. We are in Africa and most of us can attest to this scenarios. Polygamous marriages end up destroying the wealth created also at the stage of inheritance. Whereas 2 kids would have inherited an estate and manage it's divided to 5 more others thus reducing wealth inherited.
Therefore, we must continually protect, trust, pray to God for our marriages to stand.

2. To all sisters don't just run into a marriage because you want a husband or to prove a point or escape from your wilderness experiences in search of quick comfort that won't last. Trust God for a grace that preserves, despite numerous challenges of life and gross wickedness that leads to unrighteous marriage unions. I so much believe if a man cares about your destiny in God above his feelings he will be bold enough to go through entire marital processes as ordained in the Body of Christ. In other word, ensure the marriage is registered before entering just to save you time, energy and investment incase of a fall out or sudden death (But God forbid). I have seen women being chased out of their late husband's property because there was no evidence of marriage and even Kenyan Law can't protect you unless God shows mercy and exempt you from such mess. But as long as you breathe don't settle for come-we-stay type. (We are no-longer living in ignorance as our parents did, we are in advanced stage of information age-seek counsel and help).
3. This goes to us men. There's so much sense of security and confidence in a woman whenever she's in the presence of an educated man whether born again or against closely followed by money. A woman can easily marry an unbeliever with a degree or masters or PHD and fail to marry a tongue-speaking uneducated man. A woman can give a chance to a man with education higher or equal to her more quickly compared to those of lower levels unless God favors you or money does the speaking on your behalf. However, a sensible woman will go for a Kingdom cultured man because nobody especially women want to raise al-Shabaab and Taliban for children. Even so, as men lets keep upgrading our certificates if in position. #marriageworks

PROSPERITY DEMYSTIFIED

The term prosperity in Christian circle has been hugely misunderstood. Many believe prosperity has to do with having exceeding wealth and abundance. However, that is only a single-sided view that has corrupted many due to imbalances in the teaching on our pews. Some in the Body of Christ have made it a doctrine. As a result many have pierced themselves with so much sorrows in pursuit to be prosperous. It has been about gaining something which has made many seek God for things negating the relationship. My generation has been bombarded and there's so much pressure to make it in life.

However, after some personal studies and research, I awoke to the revelation that the prosperity many preacher's teach has its root meaning and origin from English. English analysis for prosperity focuses on acquisition, gain and self. During colonization, Britons traveled far and wide acquiring huge territories in Asia, Americas, and Africa. The colonizers used all mean ways to get whatever they wanted in these territories. So, they killed, stole, displaced native people from rich lands. In short, morality was never in their equation for prospering. This has been the attitude with my generation. Remember, the sin of Balaam Son of Peor, he was motivated by substance and influence to follow King Balaak of Moab to curse Israel in Numbers 22. Later Apostle Peter  and Jude speaks it as being a way for those who are misguided loving wages of unrighteousness in 2 Peter 2:15 and Jude 1:11. The actions of Balaam became a method and teaching that led many astray.

The most genuine meaning of prosperity is that obtained from Hebraic culture. According to Jewish culture, prosperity has to do with pursuit of purpose in life. That purpose was seen as  one's assignment with divine mandate. Whether the assignment was secular or spiritual, accomplishing them in life was believed to be a prosperous endeavor. In fulfilling the purpose, wealth was never the motive but solution. The long term implication for walking in that purpose was wealth creation. No wander, Jews today run major multinational industries in the world than any other ethnic group on earth. The assignment focused on finding or  providing solution, not just gaining and self-enrichment, as is with English meaning.

Believers should know our Christian values are largely derived from Hebraic culture not English. Though we are taught in English and speak it, English has limited/ shallow definition for certain Biblical words/ phrases and statements whose root is Jewish. With Jewish approach, we are able to delve into scriptures and know our purpose as believers on earth

Our Lord Jesus Christ said, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all its righteousness and this things shall be added to you". Our number one purpose and assignment in this life as believers is to seek the kingdom of God and fulfill all righteousness. Seeking God's kingdom is not just praying and fasting, studying word and fellowships, though they are basic principles that lead to fulfilling all righteousness, rather it also includes discovering your God given abilities towards advancing kingdom mandate on earth. This means once a believer knows his/her assignment, does it righteously and fulfills that assignment in life, according to God that believer is prosperous. This kind brings fulfillment, contentment/ satisfaction, peace and joy. Wealth/ material gain has never been the indicator for prosperity according to the scriptures.

There are so many people- a cloud of witnesses - who prospered in their assignments. Some attracted wealth others didn't. Abraham had massive wealth when God called him. Yet God still told Abraham that in blessing he will bless him. The only assignment for Abraham was to believe God in every step of his walk with him. Faith became Abraham's pursuit not material gain. Yet the man died more wealthier than when God called him.

Amram and Jochabed, by giving birth to Moses; that alone fulfilled their assignment. According to God they were prosperous. Mary allowing God to use her to bring Jesus on earth prospered in that assignment. Manoah and his wife giving birth to Samson and following instruction given to them were prosperous in God's sight. Zechariah and Elizabeth bringing John the Baptist prospered also.

After Ruth was widowed, she had the opportunity to find a wealthy man all by herself and marry. But that was never her intention. She rather choose to follow Naomi who was hopeless and in deep bitterness for loosing her husband and two sons. Ruth's decision to continue with Naomi and live with her in the long-run landed her to Boaz, a wealthy and honorable elderly man.

Gideon who saw himself powerless and from a small clan when the angel of the Lord appeared to him and revealed his true purpose and assignment, Gideon later ruled Israel. In ancient times it was wickedness to become a ruler and remain poor. People would come bless their ruler with gold and silver. The man prospered. Joshua's prosperity was anchored on daily study and meditation of the books of law. As long as he followed all that was written he prospered in his assignment to settle Israelite in Canaan.

Solomon sought after wisdom to rule Israel, God's people. His desire so impressed God that he blessed the man with so massive wealth to a point that silver became a common thing in his days.  Joseph, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, Esther, Mordecai and many others, prospered in the area of leadership and were blessed. The emperor dared Esther to ask whatever she wanted even  half of  Persian empire would be given to her. But her purpose was never wealth rather saving her people.

The apostles mission was to advance the Gospel. Yet many died poor. Apostle Paul said, though they are poor outwardly yet they make many rich. Imagine if Apostle Paul's motive was to collect offerings wherever he went, he would be the richest Apostle of all times. But in certain areas, he worked with his own hands to supply for himself and those with him, not becoming a burden to those he's preaching to lest the Gospel be hindered. Paul as other apostles fulfilled their purpose as given to them by God.

Yet many others, who Apostles Paul, Peter, John and James speak about, lost the genuine  passion to advance the gospel and turned to the error of Balaam, motivated and captivated with unrighteous wages and gains. It was about self, their bellies and not Christ and him crucified. Think of Prophet Elisha who had just healed a billionaire commander by the name Namaan. The prophet refused to take gifts worth millions. Gehaz run after them only to loose his purpose in life (double anointing) and received the curse of leprosy.

Prosperity has all to do with fulfilling assignments not just after gaining wealth. In the process of fulfilling our assignment wealth manifests. We begin gaining as we continue in our divine assignments. However, in pursuit to fulfill the assignment growth is very essential. Imbalanced growth  corrupts the fulfillment of the assignment. This attributes to morality issues. We have people with great assignments but corrupt morally. This hinders their advancement.

Did you know that  running after wealth, introduces one to corrupt ways? That's the reason for all evil in today's generation- the love for money(wealth). Young men are under pressure to make it, as a result they are into all manner of schemes; money swindling pyramids, stealing, betting, or enter into occult. Young girls now break marriages to get married men for themselves. Prostitution has been redefined it's about sponsors. The recent celebrity culture has made our girls to go naked without shame to get more views and subscriptions and earn more. Content creators now focus more on sexual arousing content to remain relevant. Wickedness now sales more. Even simple business adverts have sex connotations attached to them. Business people now use all shoddy ways of doing business just to ink more profit than they should. The society is salvage. Man eat man society. Corruption in every level in the society. Get rich-quick syndrome has plagued my generation.

In church, some have come up with prophecies that targets believer's pockets, wallets and bank accounts. Those without knowledge and understanding are swindled to continuous poverty. Some churches have programs where God is not and has never been the guest rather the man of gold to get extra coin. People go home with burdens and tormented with evil spirit yet the man of gold goes home with fat account. Men of gold now sale holy -pens, -water, -handkerchief, -oil, -salt, -soil and many more. Men have invented new ways of sinning and many applaud them for such inventions.

But thanks be to God, He's rising genuine shepherds who are motivated by the assignment given to them than gaining wealth. And to believers who are willing to be taught and bear sound doctrine are being delivered from devil's schemes.
